10th Rant: Vacation Review and more!

Hello there! Long time no see!

The truth is that I came back like 2 days ago, yet I was too lazy to update the blog. Sorry about that.

Anyways, I'm here! And I can't wait to share my vacation with you!

...........................

First thing first, my first destination point was Tara Mantra hotel at Cha'am beach, Petchburi. It's about 2 hours away from my home, so I listened to a music marathon along the way, and of course all the music are original, and remixes, of Touhou BGM. My ears hurt.

Tara Mantra itself was quite nice, but I felt so-so. It's simply because this was the fourth time that I came here already, so it's not impressive to me anymore. Everything was okay except the building design that was quite confusing, I still remember the first time I came here that my family and I got lost.

One thing I really appreciated, for the first time even, was the calmness of the room's balcony. It was SO peaceful that I felt so, so great. I really enjoyed my whole 5 hours of sitting outside, enjoying the scenery of the sea and sky, and drawing stuff in my iPhone.

Yes, I've been drawing things in my iPhone5 for quite a while, but it's small and is very painful to work with. I use SketchbookX for iPhone, and on top of that I did not pay to unlock all gimmicks, so my resources are very limited. I still manage to draw a couple of things though, namely my first ever fan-art (I drew Maleficent.).

For my family we usually make our vacation an "eat'n sleep" type. We get to the hotel, we sleep, then we go for meals, then come back and sleep. Isn't it great? xD

So I guess I'll share some restaurants I found they'er pretty great to you. The first one will be "Dee Lek", just a few steps away from the hotel. Their food is mostly European-Chinese/Thai, so please don't expect it to be as good as the original ones in Europe. Nevertheless when you compare it to the rest of the oh-so-many restaurants around it, this one's the best. The amount of food is that of the European size, and it's quite rare to find here.

Speaking of the size, "Aree", an Indian style restaurant even a fewer steps away from the hotel, also gives stunning amount of food per dish. What I like about their dishes are the sauces and taste. When you order a steak with some particular sauce, they really cover the meat with sauce to the point that you can't identify the meat, but rather a blob of sauce. The taste is extreme, too. There's no holding out when it comes to taste, if you order a spicy dish, it will be truly spicy. There's an exception, though. You can select the level of spiciness, so no worries. Oh, that reminds me. This time my brother and I ordered 2 different Indian dishes with my bro selected Lv.1 spiciness while I selected no spiciness at all. Ironically, the dishes turned out to look, and taste, almost the same, with a sole exception of spiciness. My bro favored my Lv.0 curry (which is still spicy, somehow) and I, on the other hand, liked his Lv.1 curry.

Let's travel a bit further from the hotel, shall we? Our next stop would be "Yao Seafood", a quite famous restaurant. As the name suggests, it's proudly presented dishes are seafood. Their prawns are delicious, as well as their snapper. Their drawback, though..... Well, the restaurant is, unbelievably and unacceptably for a famous restaurant, really dirty. Flies came after food was served, and the plates had a lot of ants on them.

I would suggest a better place for seafood, and it's called "Sang Thai Seafood", located in Hua Hin. Compared to Yao Seafood, this is on another level. Everything I've ordered, by about 5 times so far, is delicious, but the best of them will be Mantis Shrimp Stir-Fried with Garlic. It's SO delicious and it earned the title of the best dish of this trip. I still fancy its purple-white meat, ahh....

Anyways, my second destination was at Hua Hin (indeed), and I checked in at Putahracsa Hua Hin resort. It's a really great place, but I think it's too expensive (about 4000 Baht per night). What I liked the most would be the crew. ALL of them are polite and lovely. The resort itself was beautiful (though there's no peaceful spot like Tara Mantra), and the only negative thing I could find is the stairs along the walkway. There are so many stairs that when combined altogether I guess it's equivalent to about 2-3 floors, and those are only the ones along the main passage that you have to walk everyday. So, if you have knee/leg problems or you are...umm....old.., please bring healthy people with you so they can support you.

I also went to a mall full of brand names. Never before in my entire life that I buy even a single brand name product. Guess what? This time I bought 3 clothes, and their prices are equal to 15 of my usual clothes. But hey, did you know that in my entire life, and this time counted, I've bought only about 10 clothes! 90% of my clothes are all inherited from my relatives, and MY clothes are almost nowhere to be found.

I guess that's what you get for being the youngest of the clan.

To make myself more comfortable, I went to a night market in Hua Hin and bought a luxury, velvet watch at the price of 159 Baht.

......................................

Once I came back I immediately tried to caught up with whatever I missed on the internet, and I found out about an ongoing talk of the town in my country. It's about a marching band of a famous school. I don't really want to go in detail here. My apology, but if you want to know more you will have to find out in the news instead. What I want to say here is what I learn from it.

1. You are a student. While under the name of the school whatever you do will affect the school. Normally most people don't care how bad you are, but whenever you are on duty of a student, remember who you are, and act carefully.

2. If you want to drift, discuss it with your comrades first, so that  you will drift in the same way and not foil each other.

3. Sometimes it's better to keep you lips attached and nods. The more you say aggressively, the worse you get.

4. There will always be haters in this world, and so do opportunists.

5. Once you make people hate you enough, no one will care about your glory, and they will always be ready to stomp on your mistakes.

6. Internet/Social Network is a very strong force. Of course you can make use of it, but be ready for consequences. Water can lift the boat, as well as to drown it.

7. Hatred is a very powerful force indeed. Don't get carried away by it.

8. Don't make people hate you either.

........................................

I think I have more to say, but I can't recall it :(

Anyways, that's it for today. See you next time!

And as always, thanks for reading (and special thanks to the mysterious +1 person! Thank you very much!)

9th Rant: All about games

Hello there.

First of all, I'd like to announce that from tomorrow I'll go on a small 5-days vacation, so expect my disappearance. Sorry for inconvenience.

Secondly, I just change the blog's template! For more detail you can look in the chatroom! Remember, you can always talk to me directly via that Chatroom. Please don't hesitate to do so, in fact I would really appreciate to see your comments!
....................

Unless you have plans, thing will get really messed up. I figured out that even in this blog full of random rants, I should plan ahead a little. Therefore the topic for today will (hopefully) be just one thing: Games.

What? You should have known already that I'm addicted to games.

............................

Last year, the newest installments of the Pokemon series have finally been released: The anticipated generation 6's Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. The games are completely 3D, and they are awesome. Though I couldn't play myself, after several Youtube clips I came to my own conclusion that Pokemon is now way beyond a simple game. There are global tournaments here and there, and to be a professional trainer you have to have a lot of effort. Anyways, the storyline is great, but still not the greatest. My favorite have to be the grand-epic generation 5's Pokemon Black/White and Pokemon Black2/White2. They are so intense that I just can't believe a simple, save-ya-world game back in my days could have come this far. Their demonstration about the clash of truth and ideal is just......epic.

However, though story-wise BW/BW2 are the best, the ending has to be XY. It's so touching that even I, at that time a random person who watched the ending first, felt stunned. At that moment I didn't know the contents of the game at all, but the ending managed to blow me away. It's one of the best ending scene and credit roll I've ever scene, considering everything. Games, movies, animes. EVERYTHING.

But if you ask me about the soundtracks and overall aspects, for Pokemon I'll stay loyal to generation 3's Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. It's the last generation that I played, and it's really meaningful to me. The soundtracks themselves are incredible, though newer generations come with newer favorable styles, my favorite will always be the BGM of Evergrande City and the Credit Roll scene of RSE. Speechlessly touching.

If there's anything that I don't like about Pokemon, it would be some Pokemon designs and a system. Some Pokemons look weird when they look related to machinery despite the fact that they don't at all. For example Unova's legendary Zekrom/Reshiram/Kyurem. Seriously, what's with their TURBO tails? Lots of Pokemon looks too digital, too. For instance compare Dragonair to Rayquaza. In my opinion Rayquaza looks more like a high tech robo dragon (It's awesome though, especially that blackness of the shiny version.). Fortunately gen 6 seems to fix that pretty well. Personally I think Pokemon's design should stay either to natural side like Butterfree Or just go all the way to complete digital like Genesect. (Though in my opinion Genesect doesn't look like a Pokemon, just an opinion though.)

About the system, it's the newly introduced Mega Evolution system of gen 6 that temporarily transforms a particular Pokemon to yet another form that tops it's usual final evolution. Seriously, Pokemon is NOT Digimon. Even though the mega evolved Pokemon's art is SO COOL I don't think Pokemon needs that. If you want to include this awesome art maybe they better make the mega evolution permanent, like evolution, not transformation. Still it's not that bad, so I guess I can get along with it. By the way those art are extremely cool. All of my favorite Pokemons received their mega evolution: Mega Alakazam is a psycho sage, Mega Gardevoir RULES EVERYTHING IT'S THE MOST AWESOME POKEMON EVER, Mega Banette is extremely cool, and a lot of people's favorite Mega Gengar (in its shiny form) is AMAZING with its unbelievably WHITE BODY.

You amaze me, Pokemon. I will look forward to your next surprise.

...................................

It's last year also, that ZUN the god-in-disguise released the full version of Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character. I'll try my best not to wander away from the topic.

The gameplay is intentionally thrown back to the basic of a vertical shoot'em up bullet hell game, for nostalgia sake. And trust me, in this game nostalgia hits HARD. It starts from stage 1. The stage takes place at the Misty Lake, a place introduced way back in stage 2 of Touhou 6, the first Windows game of the series. The midboss is Cirno, the beloved tomboyish daughter, the ever-famous ice fairy, and supposedly the iconic boss of the place. She's the main boss of the stage back in Touhou 6 too.

Then we go to stage 3, the bamboo forest of the lost, first introduced as Touhou 8's stage 4. The BGM has some parts recognizable from the original BGM. The enemies' patterns also resembles the old times. Furthermore, did you know that the 'original' Touhou 8's stage 4 actually, and intentionally, resembles the PC-98 era Touhou 4's stage 4?

Nostalgia-ception.

Stage 4 throws us to Touhou 7's stage 4. It takes place in an eerie storm, while back then it took place at a clear, vast sky. The bosses before were the modern instrument poltergeist trio, and the boss this time are the Japanese traditional instrument Tsukumogami(object spirit thing) duo (later joined by another Tsukumogami, completing trio). The main bosses' BGM also has some parts resemble Touhou 13's extra stage boss theme, and that extra stage boss is often seen involving with Tsukumogamis.

Stage 5 and 6 take place in an upside down castle deep in the sky, while back in Touhou 8's stage 5 and 6 they took place in an ancient mansion hidden in the bamboo forest of the lost.

Aside from nostalgia, this game is really east-meets-west alike. There are a mermaid, a Japanese headless demon, a werewolf, two taditional Tsukumogamis, an Amanojaku (explained later), an inchling called Kobito, and a Tsukumogami who used to possess a traditional instrument but later changed into a modern, western instrument.

The bullet patterns are mind blowing too. Oh, and because from now on there are quite a lot of specific words, so to make things easily understandable, bosses have nonspells (equivalent to RPG's normal attack) and spellcards (equivalent to skills).

Now, some spellcards are just unbelievable. Take a look at the Amanojaku, a youkai related to contradiction who, in Touhou universe, has the ability to reverse anything and everything. She literally flips the screen. She first switches the left-right control (along with leftside right screen flip effect), then up-down control (along with upside down screen flip effect). And then she nefariously SPIN THE SCREEN counterclockwise, and you have to move during the spin. It becomes manageable after practices though.

You think that's evil? It's nothing compared to this final stage boss. A badass inchling. Her body is small but her BGM is the BIGGEST ever. Her hat is the most badass hat ever imagined by humanity: A rice bowl. (I'm not joking. It really looks badass.) And 2 of her spellcards are mind blowing. There's a spellcard that the bullets increase their size by like 3 times along the spell. Then there's another survival (You win the spell by surviving through the time limit. You can't hurt the boss.) spellcard that INCREASES YOUR HITBOX, thus making it extremely easy to get hit, and in Touhou if you get hit you lose a life. I can never get through this without using bombs.

ZUN, you evil.

And for the sake of lols, ZUN made the last boss shoots Taiko drums at you. Literally. There's a spell that I would like to call Rocket drums, because that's what it is. Hilarious yet threatening.

....................

Battle Gems, a match-3 game available on iOS (and soon on any portable devices and PC) by Artix Entertainment, has finally come out. It's full of puns that if you manage to catch them all, you will die laughing. There's a Forum Troll, a Darth Hater, a Brutalcorn, and even a Hint-eye.

.......................

I miss the old Maple Story, and I hate how Thailand got blocked to play international servers.

........................

Ragnarok is still alive, and so does Yulgang.

..........................

Should I give it a try on Aura Kingdom and Lime Odyssey? They look fun, but my computer is dying.

..........................

I HATE COOKIE RUN. Stop sending me those Line requests. I wish Battle Gems has Line request so that I can spam it back.

.........................

Fantasy Night of Touhou Project, an iOS game copied from the original Touhou series, is ridiculously hard and doesn't worth it.

.........................

Adventure Quest Worlds, a famous 2.5 online game by Artix Entertainment, as well as my favorite online game right now, is now on the storyline full of spiders. Their awesome, in-detailed art scares me even though I'm not really scared of spiders. Those with arachnophobia shouldn't play right now. Normally I'd convince anyone to play and enjoy it's awesome art, though. (Speaking of which, there's a tiny spider next to me.)

...............................

I'm still waiting for Touhou online. If I'm skilled at game making, I'll definitely do it.

.......................................................................

That's pretty much it I guess. Until next time.

Thank you for reading.

8th Rant: All about my novels.

Good day everyone.

I still can't believe only 5 days have passed. I thought it was like 2 weeks or so.

I have been on my holidays for quite a while now. Nothing much happened. I still roll from this corner of the house to other sides and wonder about future life, whether will I be able to get into a university or not.

Today, though, something happened. A while ago my mom just lectured me with her own story of life. While I have to admit it's incredible, I still can't deny that this is perhaps the 20th time of her storytelling about almost the same topic.

The point is, as I mentioned before, her life is absolutely stunning. I would love to share it publicly, but I have my plans to it.

Hopefully, one day I will start a project that will become my lifelong, and the biggest thing I'll ever do. I plan to write a grand novel based on her story, my dad's story, and my story. It will become a very, very big sum-up of our family life.

However, I don't think I'm ready yet. I'll have to be extremely careful when writing this. There are too many people involved, and my skills are still poor. But just you wait! One day I will finish it, along with the other big novel project of mine!

Speaking of which, how long has it been since the last time I thought about the side project?.....If I'm not mistaken, is it about half a year ago? How bad, how bad. I will have to resume it as soon as possible.

That side project is based on the real literature and it's originally written by His Majesty the King Rama VI of Thailand. The original story is incredible and obviously I can never get myself to that point. However, I will try my best to make this coming-soon side project of mine as good as I can.

So far, there are 3 projects in my mind. 2 of them are considerably big, and the other one is this small novel, or maybe even just a short story. I'd like to announce that I've finished the very first section (and the smallest part) of one of my big project and it's right here! I would sincerely appreciate your love for stopping by. For those who have read them, thank you very much for your support! Even in this moment, I'd like to thank you for reading this rant of mine!

That part of the entire novel to come may be confusing, but as you read further in the later parts you will understand more, and hopefully everything will take you back to this very beginning. Trust me, the plot itself is really big, but the actual result varies upon my skill >.>

I will continue the main series after I finished the first short story, or maybe by the time the short story manages to process quite far, so please stick with me. Though I go very slowly, I promise as along as I live, I will finish everything.

I'm going on a vacation next week, so let's see if I can find something to write about. But for now I think I should end the rant here. This rant is relatively short, but the more I try to add in stuff, the more messy it becomes. That being said, see you guys and gals next time.

Thank you for reading!

7th rant: My mom and Naruto.

Hello there.

Today I just received the grades for my final examination of my Grade 11's 2nd semester. In my country we use the 4.00 GPA standard. I got 3.83, supposedly 4th rank of the class, and the 13th rank of the entire Grade.

It's not bad, but not good either. I used to get 3.96 (1st Rank), then I got 3.93 (1st) and somehow fell down to 3.77 (2nd). This time it seems like I improved myself quite a bit to 3.83, but the rank falls down even harder by 2 places.

While this sounds like a complete nonsense since all of my grades from the beginning of my education have never break the minimum limit of 3.77, I take it pretty seriously. Can you guess why?

For someone known for taking the 1st place for such a long time, and to end up in the 4th all of a sudden.

Some teachers actually told me that the rankings are wrong, so don't take it seriously. I told mom the same.

She responded by saying something like "Then keep reminding the school to fix it. Getting the 4th place is bad."

That's not all. She also said "Not to compare things but you know, when your brother was at your age he got all 4."

I'll be honest. That's not just comparing. It's way beyond that. I suddenly felt like I got slapped right at the face. It's obviously the detestable comparing kids thingy. I hate it.

After all these things I've done...Okay I might not be a hard working student, but no one still has the right to speak as if all the efforts are nothing. It's depressing, stressful, and heartbreaking to hear that.

To whose who envy the ones with high grades, I envy you.

When both of us failed, we got scolded. The difference is that when you try hard and get some good grades, you earn rewards, yet when I try hard and get some good grades, I earn nothing but invaluable praises. Those words worth nothing as they can be clearly seen when I fell down even just a bit. I will be scolded as if I've always been bad.

My only way is to fly higher and higher, never to step down. Falling is not a choice.

The higher you are, the harder you fall.

I'm scared of the day I fall.

.................................................

I guess that's the reason why I don't really tell all the truths to her nowadays. Whenever I say something that she disagrees, she'll go on and on without any concern to listeners. She thinks as if she's the best one around, and should you interrupt she will argue back with her "I'm right" logic, and when it seems like a no go for her, she will pull the pitifulness trick that simply forced us her children to keep our lips attached.

That's how I learned. I learned not to argue with this type of person. I learned sometimes enduring it and nod is way better than speaking for your rights.

Pathetic, isn't it?

Moral of the story: Think before you speak, and have concerns for listeners as well.

...................................

We start of the entry with such a sad topic, so let's change it here.

...
...
..
I'm sorry.

I really can't. I'm not in the mood to do so.

The world will be a much more livable if people have concerns for each other.

Sadly, that day will never come. Not in the world where human rules.

................................

Speaking of which, I happened to come across an encouraging and inspiring anime.

It's Naruto.

Of course you have heard of it, and lots of you are probably fans. I'll admit I've heard of it since years ago, but today marks the first time ever that I watched this long. I watched a part of the fight between Naruto and Pain, from four-tails to the end of the arc. While it's touching and awesome, at the same time it's.....

...
..
.......hilarious.

I can't help myself but laughing so hard at the fight between Pain and Naruto's beastly form. Pain's ridiculously priceless. Lots of his moves, those "HAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH" thing, and even when he got attacked. So priceless.

It's supposed to be a very serious situation between someone suffered so hard to the point of outrage, and the one who has fallen to pain. Somehow it turned out very humorous.

Thankfully after the fight it became really intense. Towards the end it's quite enjoyable, and I couldn't help but smile with him at the end of the arc.

There's a thing that shocked me though. When Minato asked Naruto how old the boy was, and he replied 16.

SIXTEEN!? SERIOUSLY? I though he's 18 or so! It made me feel so shameful that when I was 16 (which is last year) I started worrying about my future, while Naruto jumped throughout the lands and kick some villains' asses.

He also looks older than 16 to me. Are you going to tell me Sasuke who dressed like that is also 16?

Or maybe the whole thing isn't true and it's actually just my mishearing.

Oh guess what, Naruto lightened my mood! Way to go there ninja!

.......................

That's right, here's my short and simple conclusion: If you're disturbed by a fly, slap the fly.

Or find something to lighten your mood instead.

6th rant: Forcing my way through writing.

Hi.

Wow. It's been 5 days. Time flies....no, actually time sky-rockets.

I'll be honest; I completely forgot about this blog.

These past five days I did nothing but gaming, internet surfing, a little bit of drawing some trashes, and watched through some of Ellen's shows. Ellen, why are you so funny.

Do you know what makes me remember about this blog? Boredom. It reminds me there's a place where I can share something in my mind and thus do something more valuable, even though nobody in particular reads it.

As far as I know, there are 2 of my friends who have their blogs. However, it's unfortunate that it seems like both of the blogs are going on hiatus. My friends are fine. I guess they just decide to stop for a while since this year will be pretty much a hard time for us the students rushing for universities.

Normally I would encourage them to continue their blogs, but given this reason alone I have nothing else to say. University rush is a very big deal here, so yeah.

It's not like I'm the best that's why I encourage people, but rather because I think I like it. I like seeing my friends happy, especially my best friends. Now that I think about it, I encourage fellows around me quite frequently. I don't know how others see this, but for me I feel uneasy. It's because I seemingly participate in solving other's problems, but when you look back at me I can't even solve my own problems. It's like a doctor being sick or a clown being sad.

I guess that's because you are more courageous towards problems that aren't yours. When you face it by yourself though, it will be a different situation.

So what do I do? Well personally I believe every problem has solutions, but it's you who decides what will the solution be.

It's half past 11 here in midnight. I kinda feel sleepy.

I don't know what else to talk about, and I put the "else" there because I want to include it in.

.................

Anyways, let's pick up an ongoing topic about the MH370. It's a plane that somehow disappeared during the flight. It's quite a sensitive topic not to be joked with. There are hearts and souls waiting for their return. I sincerely pray for their come back. #PrayForMH370

Regarding, but not directly to, the topic, there's this newspaper in my country. What it did today was that there's a big article about this event, with the title that meant "All dead".

Seriously? You are the newspaper with a very big name here. The actual news hasn't even been confirmed about losses, and you put that? Is it just because so that it will sound severe and attracts readers? Sure enough, it did attract readers, with additional anger. How dare you put such unforgivable words there.

Not to mention some of your article writers are so unjust. One can clearly see that which side he's on.

Fix that, or you will definitely become nothing but dirty toilet papers.

.................

Let's leave that aside. I don't want to be rude here. What should be our next topic?

Oh well, I don't know. I can't think of anything intellectual right now.

To the left of me are my 4 drawing notebooks, and I can't think of anything but that. So fine, let's talk about them.

The first book is a slim, blue notebook I got from a science day event held in my old school. (By the way, I seriously can't properly use hold and held. It's hold, held, held, right? Blame the tell, told, told.) It's quite old, like 5 years or so. Corners of the covers and the spine are pretty much...umm....ragged.

My second edition is smaller, but a bit thicker. It's a notebook designed like old Chinese books. You know, those scriptures with some small ropes acting as spines. This one has its front and back cover imprinted with the patterns. It has quite dim color, and the thing I like the most about this one is that the cover is also imprinted with Chinese characters, meaning "Ultimate sword" or something. That's the name of an ultimate move in Chinese techniques. I have 3 more of familiar notebooks like this. If I don't remember it wrong, two of them are claws, I think it's the eagle's claws and white bone claws. The last one's a finger technique that by simply flick any finger, you can create enormous power that kills your target (if you hit it right) or makes some explosion.

My third book is (finally) a book specially used for drawing/designing. It's the size of A3, I believe. The covers are hardcovers. Right now I'm working on this one. Oh by the way before we go further I would like to say something about my drawings. The pictures are not as big as the whole paper. Each count means just a single piece, and it's of ten relatively small. Please imagine an A4 paper. You separated it into 8 rectangular pieces, on average my drawings are that size. Anyways, so far I'm at No.800.

There's another book though. That one's not included in the collection because I would like it to be another stand alone. It did turn out to be quite confusing though. Seriously, nothing in my life has ever gone like I planned.

There's one last section of my drawings. Just recently I began testing myself on SktchBookX on iPhone5. It's a complete torture. I have to stare at a rectangle space for 2 hours just to accomplish a sword that I would take 7 minutes to draw on pencil. Still, I have to admit the quality is much better than on paper.

In case if anyone is interested with my drawings (I doubt there will be since I don't even see anyone reading this.) you can leave a reply about it. I can show you some since I took some of them on my Twitpic.

..................

Hey, that's quite a nice topic huh? It covers a good amount of space and extends this long enough to be an article in my opinion.

Anyways I guess that's all for today. I seriously have nothing else to say (Actually I have, but I'll leave it for later.), and as always.

Thank you for reading.

5th rant: Something, My Mom, Something.

Hello there.

It's been a while, like 2-3 days isn't it? Well, normally on my other blogs I always faded away all of a sudden for at least a week, and most likely a months. Let's see how long can I keep this one going.

The biggest problem right now is the fact that recently I don't know what to write about. I figured that I have to post something every once in a while, or I will definitely go on a year of hiatus or more., just like what happened, and is happening, to my other 2 blogs.

Okay, I kind of manage to use the power from my coconut. The last blog was intended to be a completely random rant on various things, somehow it turned into an introduction article to my world of gaming though. Let's try it again.

First thing first, my condolences to Leonardo DiCaprio. Wait, I feel like I've done this before....anyways.

.................

I learned today that in Chinese we call a sofa "Sha fa". You pronounce Sha with the sh of "share" and with the a of "bar", while fa is exactly the same. In Thai, we literally call it sofa.

My teacher told me that a while ago at a meeting with his friend, she asked him

"So far, how do you do?".

The thing is, she spoke "So far" in English, but the rest in Thai. Thus, the sentence sounds like:

"How's your sofa?"

Yeah.

....................

My mom loves telling me her life stories. She once told me about her little brother when they were children. The family lived in a house with the downstairs turned into a grocery store. That being said, please expect insects crawling at night. One night, as you have figured it out, she somehow had to come down here. Well actually she had to pick up something with her little brother. When she turned on the light, clusters of cockroaches flew like crazy. If you can't see the picture, please imagine Star Wars fighting scene. She was scared for life. Her little brother, on the other hand, wasn't scared of cockroaches, so he precisely grabbed one and threw it right at her face.

..........................

There's more. My mom's a girl who often visited her grandma and her relatives since she's a child. There was a time when her aunts asked for her help in cleaning a well. When the three of them arrived at an old well, the adults told my mom to stay a bit far away from the well. My mom asked why, and they simply replied "Hold your broom tight.". They then slowly grabbed the big, flat, wooden slab covering the well, and in their hands were brooms too.

"Are you ready?" They asked. They then took a deep breath, and opened the well.

The moment the well was reopened, a tiny army of cockroaches scattered out. My mom was about to scream, but this time she managed to hold back. When she actually looked down into the well though.....

Please imagine an entire army of Sauron's orcs. There were that much cockroaches crawling the wall of the well. It was like if you fall down there, you'll be literally eaten up completely. So what did they do next?

The aunties simply smacked the brooms against the cockroach wall.

And then the apocalypse began.

..

(They even said during the great battle: "Don't just stand there my dear! Quick, slap them down!".)

.......................................

Huh? What's that? I run out of topics again? Aww.....

My favorite types of food are fish, chicken, cheese, and beans. I dislike sweets and fat-attached meat though. That's pretty much a bless to me, because I guess with that kind of detestation I will be less likely to get fat.

Most of the times I mess up with grammars and stuff. I'm certain that up to this point I've made a huge amount of mistakes already. Be it misspelling, grammar, mismatched vocabularies, or what so ever. But I won't stop anyway, because what's the benefit from doing nothing because you are scared of doing it wrong? I believe I better do something wrong rather than do nothing, sit there and waste the world's oxygen.

Speaking of which, do you know that the air comprises with mostly Nitrogen?

And do you know that there aren't only 3 states of matter?

No, really. There are way more than that. More than 15, definitely, but I'm not sure how many. The latest state was discovered like a week ago if I'm not mistaken.

Oh, it's already 15 minutes into the new day. I guess I have to stop now. Oh yes, you should sleep early too. Don't you ever dare to think of sleeping in daytime to compensate your night life, because the body system doesn't work like that! You should sleep no later than 10 p.m.

With that being said, good night everyone, and thanks for reading.

4th rant: Something, gaming, something.

Hi there, oh my god it's the fourth time already!

By the way, this cup of tea in front of me is so bitter, way bitter than normal. *sip*

Anyways, this one will be pretty random, I guess.

First of all (really?), my condolences to Leonardo DiCaprio regarding the Oscars. Hang in there sir!

Secondly, Ellen you're so hilarious. I would love to be that pizza delivery man.

Third, the tea is still bitter and cold. For those who don't really drink tea and would like to try some, drink it hot. Cold tea tends to be more bitter than hot ones. This includes most types of tea, except the sweet tea in bottles. I don't really consider them tea, but rather sweet beverage with tea flavor.

"Let it go" from Disney's Frozen is lovely. When I try to sing it, though, it sounds like screams from hell. Seriously, I can't sing. Some of my classmates say I'm perfect (Wow I sound narcissistic.); in reality I'm so imperfect. I suck at singing, I can't cook, and I can never do sports. Heck, I can't even ____! (No, not gonna.) The more one looks perfect, the more imperfect one is. Uuuuuuuhh that sounds cool.

Speaking of the word Narcissistic, do you know where does this word originate from? It's from Narcissus, a character from Greek mythology. Long story short, he's narcissistic. He fell in love with his reflection on the water surface and exhausted himself to death. So yeah, thus the act of being too proud of yourself/ praising yourself is defined by Narcissism/Narcissistic.

My condolences for Leonardo DiCaprio regarding the Oscars.

There's a new online game releasing pretty soon called Mirror War. It's an arcade shooting game, and my main interest falls in the "shooting" section. Have I ever told you before that I'm a Touhou fan? "Touhou" is a bullet hell, curtain fire, vertical shooting game series currently consisted of 14 main games, 5 spin offs, and tons of official books/manga, and a HECK of a fan base. This enormous fan base's potential is amazing. We can do remixes of the game's actual BGM within the very same day of the release. We draw countless amount of extremely high quality pictures. We produce tons of doujins, and by that I emphasize on the word tons. It's not a quantity expression; I definitely believe if we put all those doujin's manuscripts together, they will weight TONS. We can even create ANIMES! Try searching the entirely fan-made "Memories of Phantasm" or "Summer Day Dream" and see how incredible the fan base is!

Wait, I think I was going to talk about Mirror War. Anyways, let talk about the actual Touhou first. The whole 14 main games are all produced by a man named ZUN. Yes, ALL of them are made by a single person. The great things about Touhou are that the bullet patterns are so beautiful that they can put an end to your breath.....literally. Anything aside from power-ups on the screen: You touch a single bullet and you lose a life. Simple as that. The background scenes are pretty charming too, but the characters are....honestly speaking....terrible. HOWEVER! His character art style has been improving, and at this rate the jokes about his terrible character art style will eventually end. Anyways, the greatest thing of Touhou is actually the music. All the BGMs are glorious. They are extremely well composed and fit the stage so much that some of them even fit every single bullet patterns! Listening to them without the actual gameplay is also absolutely nice! For starters, try "Septette for the dead princess", which is based on a famous classic score that I forgot the name. I would also suggest "Bloom nobly, perfect cherry blossom of Sumizome ~ Border of Life" due to its....tragic melodies (My favorite piece). What's more? "Last Remote" gives extremely powerful aura. "Flight of the bamboo cutter ~ Lunatic Princess" is traditionally elegant. "Kobito of the shining needle ~ Little Princess", the BGM from the latest final boss, is absolutely epic. And to think that the boss is actually an inchling! Bravo ZUN, bravo!

Also, did I mention that until recently, all games consist of girls flying around, shooting danmakus (bullets. Imagine fireworks.) at each other. After they solve the incidents, they throw a party with the culprits. Also, ALL males that appear in the entire Touhou universe are some animals, both common and legendary, some gods, unworthy to mention villagers, a half-Youkai shopkeeper (Youkai means demons. They are the main population here.), a Youkai with his body of cloud, a flying turtle, and a being with 3 forms: Female, Male, and Orb. Yeah, that's all. The rest are overpopulated with flying girls with ridiculous power like "The ability to manipulate fate", or "The ability to invoke death". There is also an ability that I believe it is the worst of all game-breaking abilities the entire humanity can imagine: The ability to manipulate boundaries. Heck, it tops even the ability to destroy anything and everything, or the ability to manipulate miracles. Because in Touhou logic, everything has boundaries. The boundary between life and death, humans and animals, ground and sky, and so on. Basically, if you possess this ability, you can mess with everything in existence.

Fan base (again) is also an important structure here. We named 2 girls with no official names, and guess what? ZUN accepted the names officially. The fan base goes on and on to even make a lot of fan made games that mimic the originals. Awesome game society is awesome.

Okay, I'll leave Touhou for later articles, because I can go on and on with it. Let's move to Mirror War shall we? Mirror War is entirely different. Well, mostly. The only same thing is the bullet hell thing, and the patterns are SO easy. It's just that the design doesn't really allow players to dodge everything in some way like Touhou. We have to use skills, and bla bla bla. Still, I would like to try it since it's an online game, heh. It would have been way better if there's something like Touhou online or so.

Speaking of online games, I was waiting for AQ3D: Legends of Lore. The game is from Artix Entertainment, an AWESOME indie game company that I really love. They are so close to the community and are so lovely. The game was on hiatus though, because they now focus on developing games that are playable on ALL devices. PCs, iPhones, Androids, etc. Cross fingers for you AE!

Oh well. Seems like this entry has turned into a gaming article. I'm fine with it though. Let's see....

The only online game I'm playing right now is Adventure Quest Worlds, from the same company. I'm addicted to the art there. However, the one and only online game that won a special place in my heart is MapleStory. In where I live, the server was closed a big while ago, and the blocking that prevents my country's people from playing international servers doesn't help. I will always love you MS.

One thing I'm very proud of about online games is that I never pay for them, not even once nor a tiny bit. I set a rule to myself that I will either pay with the money I earned from work, or the game company will be the one who pay because I work in it.

Another thing is that I'm very proud to say that I learn my English partly from games. Those games help me practice English by a lot, and I could never make it here without the help of those games. Thank you AE.

Lastly, to some people out there who always blame crimes or bad things to games and cartoons by saying about the influence, I would love to acknowledge you that it's not the game's fault. It's the players. What matters is the person's common sense, because if that person lacks it, even without playing games he will eventually commit crimes. Stop blaming games just because the criminal happens to play games.

Until next time, have a good day, and thanks for reading.

Ps. My condolences to Leonardo DiCaprio regarding the Oscars.

3rd rant: Quotes in my mind. (What a lame title.)

Good day everyone.

Here comes my third rant.

Seems like I'm in a good mood eh? Well actually I don't know myself. Have you ever feel completely blank? I often feel like that. (In truth, right now I feel a bit annoyed by the noise outside my room though.) A blank mood is a state of mind that I really cherish, because at that exact time is when I can easily force myself to do something worthy, like homework, reviewing, learning, or things like that. I also tend to force myself to think of inspirational stuff. I am a type of person who seriously need inspiration and motivation to really work on something. There are times when I waste my whole day doing nothing worthwhile, and most of the times it's because of my laziness. If I could convert my laziness into magical power, I sincerely believe I can turn an entire city upside down.

Nevertheless, there are still times when I manage to overcome the evil Baron Lazy, sometimes by the use of quotes. I have quite an amount of quotes in my mind, but I don't really use, or follow, them though. I think I'll share them with you.

"Gods don't help those who don't even try."

Suppose gods do exist, I seriously don't think holy deities are interested in those who do nothing but rely on their help. I don't think they will be pleased when they know their worshipers are maggots.

"Stop thinking and start doing."

That's a head shot to myself. There are a chunk of stuffs in my mind, but most of them are wasted, forgotten. Sometimes people think too much that they eventually do nothing, me included. If you do, however, you will realize how great your idea is, and how deplorable it would be if you don't.

"Decorum is a must, even toward those you hate enough to want to kill."

I got this one from a fan-made manga of a game I love. While it may sound a bit vicious, somehow I love this one. Maybe it's because the character who said this is my favorite character, and her behavior is something I'm trying to be like.

"Think before you act."

Now this one may contrast the aforementioned quote, but when you see the quote below you'll understand my point. For this one, I focus on consequences of your deeds. Act carelessly and you'll cause troubles to not only you but also others involved.

"Circumstances are to be dealt with accordingly."

Similar to how you cannot treat a cat like a dog, quotes are not appropriate all the time. Same goes with your actions, in some situations direct confrontations may solve problems, while some require more complex processes.

"Adapt to the environment."

Wise men from the ancient time once compare people with pines. I can't remember exactly the content of the story, but I do remember about 2 types of pines. There's a type that stays strong and still, challenging all the storms blowing through, and there's another type that bends along with the wind. At the end of the story, the strong pine breaks down during a powerful storm, while the other pine survives through the event. Moral of the story: Sometimes you just can't be so blunt and blind and hold to your position without concerning the events around you. There's also this quite funny quote from another game I like. It says "Sometimes it's better to just keep quiet and nod.

"Truth never dies, but truth may cause people to die."

The truth never dies section is a famous quote by itself, and the rest is my addition. This quote is the one I use most frequently, Along with another quote.

"There are no secrets in this world, but sometimes truths can wait."

Have you ever heard of the term white lie? It's when you lie for the better good. Also, for those who really dislike lies, I did not say that lies are good. Any form of lies is bad. That's why I'll suggest yet another way: You didn't lie; you just didn't speak of everything.

Huh? That's it? Seems like I can't think of anything else... Oh yes, there's another one.

"No good, no evil. Only you and your foe."

This one is pretty old, but I still agree. From your point of view, you may think what you are doing is right. However, the other side may see it exactly like that too. What I'm saying is, who decides what's right and what's wrong? What's good and what's bad? Personally, all the concepts of goodness and badness are humanity's ideology. We forge the shape of good and bad ourselves, while it might not even exist in reality.

Oh well, now I'm beginning to recall more and more...

"Live with it."

Sometimes people worry too much. Live with the present and be happy of what you have. Do your best and everything will be fine.

"Destiny is mine."

Exactly. My destiny is my destiny, not yours, not his, not hers, not theirs or whoever out there. Don't let anyone intervene your fate. You are the one who lives with your life, not them.

"Because I can."

This quote will be used after I accomplish something. While it sounds as arrogant as it is, it's quite meaningful to me. Sometimes people underestimate their potential, thus abandoning chances and opportunities in their lives. Say quote number two, so that you can say this quote later on.

"Manipulate your emotion."

Sounds bossy. The meaning of this one is that you change your feelings to motivations and power sources within you. Oh, that reminds me.

"If you can't find motivation or inspiration, make one."

Simple as that. Gods don't help those who don't even try. Say, you are so lazy to do homework and you want to eat that sweet cake so much. Set that cake as a goal and say to yourself "Unless you finish homework, don't eat the cake." and let the struggle for the cake begin.

That's pretty much all, I guess.

....................................................

Anyways, right now I'm still fighting Baron Lazy every single millisecond. That also means I'm thinking about updating my novels, but I'm still too lazy and not in the right mood to do so. Don't worry though, I will eventually end up updating it, but it will take from weeks up to a year before I can move my as- I mean my hands and start typing. Cross fingers for me will you? >.<

Thanks for reading.

2nd rant: Opinion toward the education system.

Hi there, this is my second time here, and I have to say that currently I have no idea what to write and my mind is so messed up that I don't know what tense should I use, but I've got a feeling that I must relieve something in my coconut.

I will not lie to you. I actually thought about bringing the topic of Politics, but this article ended up in tons and tons of swears, so I'll change it now. Let's see what else is in my mind (Oh and I just realize that I haven't use the word 'else' for a big while.)......

How about education system?

Of course that topic has to come across my mind. I'm a student after all. Also, I'll try my best to restrain myself from unnecessary rude words (again).

Education system in my country is so hopeless. I would like to point out the very first factor of failure: Minister of Education. I sincerely hope I will not end up in Politics again, but I have to say this for one last time in this entry. In my opinion even though Minister of Education is a political position, but this person must be associated with Education in one way or another. Unfortunately, right now my government seems to completely forget about that and put whoever they desire to "take care of" the position. In just a brief amount of time we have already got like 3 ministers, if I'm not mistaken. And all of them don't really bother the sake of education anyway. Each minister brought different pseudo-policies, and none of them works. However, even they are useless, they still cause surplus of problems since basically everyone under the education system must follow the policy and whatever the minister says. It takes time to prepare things and to actually do it along a policy, but when things are almost ready, the policy was replaced by another. Such a pity.

Now please remember those details, because later on problems are likely to join forces altogether. In addition to the troublesome ministers and their good-for-causing-troubles policies, there are also a kind of people who we call "Lear Kha". "Lear" means to lick, and "Kha" means leg. Now can you guess what loves to lick someone's leg?

Dogs.

And what else do dogs love to do?

Flatter.

That's basically what these people love to do. In front of those big bosses, they will flatter and act like they are such good guys and gals, but in truth, they are the exact opposite. I personally think they shouldn't work in the education system, but rather in Hollywood or something. I'm sure they will eventually win some awards.

Still, not all people want to become that kind of person, but they are more like forced to be one. This is because we actually have a lot of evaluations from tons of agencies, and the ones who will have to do all the preparations for the evaluations are teachers. We will leave the teachers for later, but for now let's focus on evaluations. When someone visits you to check the quality of your home, will you just leave the mess as is and tell him the truth? While some of you may reply yes, schools cannot. No school likes it when they announced that this particular school sucks. That's why people turn into the Lear Kha type, faking everything into a fantastic condition in order to pass the evaluation with high grades. This makes me think of something: Why do you even evaluate them then? Those things you see aren't even true! Well, actually, I kind of already know the answer. Remember the pseudo-policies? Yes. It's that thing. A system requires people to evaluate the structures, same goes with a pseudo-policy that requires agencies to evaluate the structures within the effect. The trick is that no one (with power) really cares about the real result. Everything will be fine as long as schools look good.

What do we miss here......oh yes, teachers right? While there are the flatter-ers and the pseudo-evaluation, there are also unqualified teachers. I don't know if any other places will be like this, but in my country's traditional culture, teachers are more than people who teach. They are the ones who educate students to lead good, valuable lives. They must be the model of goodness, in addition to giving knowledge. Sadly, right now there are lots of "teaching employees" out there. Some are even unbelievable that they are qualified to be teachers. Some of them have not enough knowledge to be someone who educates people, while some of them are no way close to a model of goodness. Frankly, these teaching employees are the type that students stick with the most, since majority of them are kind, friendly, and perhaps more approachable than real teachers. The latter, for students, is scary, and is often hated by these little people. How pitiful.

What's more? We have seen pseudo-policies, pseudo-evaluation, and pseudo-teachers. All these 3 are from the side of school, but we haven't talked a single bit about parents and students, have we? Parents, from my perspective, are very important. They are the ones who spend time with their children the most (obviously). No matter how hard teachers try to educate students, if parents don't really participate in supporting the learning, the process will be much slower and less effective. Now please take notes that there are even selfish parents who don't care about what their children have done wrong and will get angry when their precious treasures are punished. There are also the type who cares none of school's requests and do whatever they desire.

Next are the students themselves. As seen from my previous entry (beware: a lot of nonsense warned.), new generations are getting worse. That is a very tiny bit of what they can do. I can even say that the naughtiest of my classmates is not even considered bad when compared to some other schools out there. Some don't even care about studying because they believe what ever they do, they'll pass anyway. This is, tragically speaking, true. Why? The answer will take us to the last factor: social value.

In my country, we value the graduated, not the educated. Anyone who dares to fail to enter a university will have his/her future pretty much doomed. Their opportunity of doing things will be decreased by a lot since not many companies will accept those who are not graduated. Now suppose a student fails to enter a university, thus fail to graduate. Then there's this random person walks in and says "Wow, which school did this student come from? They can't even educate this boy enough to enter any university. I will definitely not send my daughter to this school." That's why schools have to choice but to let them pass. Teachers are not allow to fail students.

All in all, this education system is just a big compilation of pseudo-messes. There's the leading pseudo-minister and his pseudo-policies, then there's the pseudo-school and the pseudo-evaluation. Within the school are the pseudo-teachers and the pseudo-student, and lastly the pseudo-value doesn't help. If there is any hope left, it's going to be the peace of ongoing conflicts so that the society can seriously take a look at how hopeless this section of the country can be.

.............................

There's a lot more to that chunk of rant, but my mind is so messed up right now so I don't think I can continue. My entry is no way near the word polished, so thank you very much for struggling through that whole bunch of .....whatever you wanna call....
